Tempio Pausania - historically the main centre in Gallura
Situated on the a plane next Mount Limbabra, historically the main centre in Gallura, it is located in the middle of lush valleys, vines and the ancient oak forests, typical of the Mediterranean.
The urban physiotempiognomy of the historical centre has granite buildings dating from the 18th and 19th century.
In the heart of the city: Gallura Square, City Hall, The Saint Peter’s Cathedral and the Oratory of the Rosary.
The soil is rich in springs; the mineral waters are used in the hydroponic thermal plant. Through a panoramic tree-lined avenue one can reach Rinaggiu which is famous for the quality of its diuretic waters.
A few Km from Mount Limbara, Vallicola Balistreri is a good vantage point from which to view panoramas onto Olbia, Gallura and as far away as Corsica.
