The Coghinas, the second largest river in Sardinia, is one of the most important "water suppliers". It feeds 2 reservoirs: Lago di Tula and Lago Coghinas near Perfugas.
The delta of the river has now become a mecca for kite surfers and canoeists. Several canoe tours are offered on Lake Coghinas and the area between the thermal springs of Casteldoria and the estuary delta.
