Hiking in Sardinia: on this tour you can truly enjoy beautiful views of the landscape and the sea. The path connects the sea with the nearby Monte Ossoni mountain. You can enjoy the view along the coast over long distances. To reach the top of the mountain it will take approximately about 90 minutes.
Once you get to Monte Ossoni, you are presented with a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Gulf of Asinara.
The medieval town of Castelsardo is at your feet to the west and the Doria Valley with the Coghinas River to the east. If you look far away, you can see the former prison island of Asinara and the chalk cliffs of Corsica.
Depending on the season, you are lucky enough to find tasty mushrooms between the bushes and pine trees. Archaeologists also get their money's worth when they take a closer look. Along the way you can find fossilized eyewitnesses when Monte Ossoni was still part of the seabed.
If you now feel like hiking and the beautiful panoramas, you can either continue on Monte Ossoni or continue to the Elephant Stone, a mystical burial site from the Nuragic period.
